The new Director of Administration, Vytautas Vansavičius, begins his work at the Vilnius District Municipality

Today, January 2nd, Vytautas Vansavičius takes up his duties as the Director of the Vilnius District Municipality Administration.

According to the Mayor of the Municipality, Robert Duchnevič, the new Director of Administration will face a wide range of tasks, from handling day-to-day issues related to the municipality to implementing long-term strategic goals.

"This is a person I have known for a long time – his competence, professionalism and dedication to his work are beyond doubt. I am confident that he understands the specificity of our municipality, its challenges and opportunities. Although there is much work to do and challenges ahead, I am confident that by working together with the team and actively involving the community of Vilnius District, we will be able to successfully continue the work we have started and ensure the stable growth of our municipality," said R. Duchnevič.

Meanwhile, according to V. Vansavičius, the challenges are embraced with open arms, with the well-being of both employees and citizens being one of his main goals.

"I thank Mayor Robert Duchnevič for his vote of confidence and invitation to join the team. My main goal is to continue the work that has been started, ensuring a good work environment for each employee, but at the same time building a modern and efficient organisation.

I will work to ensure that every decision and action would continue to contribute to the positive changes in Vilnius District that are felt by our citizens. I believe that working together with the team, it is possible to accomplish truly significant things," said the new Director of the Municipality Administration.

V. Vansavičius completed his studies in International Business Management at the International Business School of Vilnius University in 2011, and in 2024 graduated from Vilnius Gediminas Technical University with a degree in Business Management (Organisation Management).

His work experience began in 2007 as a manager at UAB Staipa, from 2009 to 2010 he worked as Deputy Head of the Economy Department at the then Vilnius County Governor's Administration, and since 2010 he has worked at the State Patients' Fund under the Ministry of Health as Senior Specialist in the General Affairs Department from 2010 to 2016, Head of the General Affairs Department from 2016 to 2020, and in 2020 he was appointed to the position of Head of the Operational Administration Department.

We remind you that the previous Director of the Vilnius District Municipality Administration, Vladislav Kondratovič, left his position following his appointment as Minister of the Interior.
