People of foreign origin living in Lithuania are invited to make use of free psychological services provided by the Migration Information Centre (MIcenter) established by IOM Lithuania. If you:
- find that your emotional well-being affects your daily life, work, education, relationships;
- constantly think about your emotional wellbeing, experience inner pain or have difficulty sharing your experiences with others because you feel shame, guilt or are at a loss for words;
- experience difficulties adjusting to life in a new culture;you feel that you need psychological support;
sign up for a free counselling appointment with a psychologist. You can do this by visiting the MIcenter website micenter.lt.
Counselling is provided in person (in Vilnius) and remotely
- Mondays 9 AM –5 PM
- Wednesdays 9 AM – 1 PM
- Fridays 9 AM –3 PM
At Migration Information Center you can get up to 10 free psychological counselling sessions, during which you can also discuss where and what kind of help to seek after the free counselling is finished.
Counselling sessions can be conducted in lithuanian, english and russian.
MIcenter also offers the following services:
- Consultations for migrants (first steps in Lithuania, housing and declaration of residence, social security and benefits, driving and exchanging a driver's license, etc.);
- Career counselling (job search strategies, CV preparation, registration with Employment Service, individual activity and business certificates, other work in Lithuania related questions);
- Introductory courses about Lithuania;
- Legal consultations (obtaining and renewing residence permits in Lithuania, job contracts, employee rights, , rental agreements and other legal matters);
- Group therapy sessions(emotional support groups designed for migrants, offering tailored programs to address diverse emotional needs during transition);
