Discussion of Cooperation Opportunities with Kyiv Region (Ukraine)

On December 2, representatives of the Vilnius District Municipality and the Kyiv Region Administration held a remote meeting to discuss potential cooperation opportunities in various fields, aiming to achieve mutual benefits for both the Vilnius District and Kyiv Region.

The meeting was attended by Vida Montvydaitė, Senior Advisor of the Vilnius District Municipality Administration, Lesya Karnaukh, Vice Governor of the Kyiv Region, and Mykyta Gerashchenko, Head of the International Cooperation Department. 

The participants exchanged insights and discussed priority areas that could contribute to the well-being of communities, promote the development of both regions, and create opportunities for sharing best practices.

The Vilnius District Municipality expressed interest in collaborating in the social field, emphasizing social care, human rights protection, gender equality, and potential joint initiatives in these areas. It was agreed that another meeting would be organized later this year to further explore these areas and identify potential collaborative projects and activities.

Both Vilnius District and Kyiv Region aim to implement mutually beneficial initiatives that strengthen community welfare and promote long-term regional development.
